OLD TIME
Description
Permeable paint containing lime putty, inorganic
natural pigments and stabilising additives, modified by
resin dispersion. It is suitable for application to either
old or new mineral plaster and for mineral finishes in
buildings of special artistic interest. It has an attractive
appearance and is long-lasting and easy to apply.

Type of binder: lime

Dimensional Characteristics
Absolute gravity: 1500 ±50 g/litre (variable according
to colour).
Performance Characteristics
Diffusion resistance factor: μ = 40
Permeability to water vapour Sd= 0.004 m
Colour Range
OLD TIMES Colour Chart. It is advisable not to ask for
special colours that require organic colorants to
achieve the shades.
APPLICATION
Ambient conditions
Ambient temperature: min +8°C max +30°C
Relative ambient humidity: max 75%
It should not be applied under the hot sun or under
very windy conditions.
Preparation of the substrate
Walls:
the substrates must be carefully prepared by manual
brushing and/or by washing, depending on how dirty is
the surface to treat. Old paints must be removed.
Before applying on wet plaster make sure that it is set.
Apply a coat of Metro Fix and subsequently a coat of
Metro Cover in order to level the substrate.

brush, short wool roller (Magritte Roller)
Dilution
Type of diluent: water
Dilution: 20-30% = 200–300 ml to every litre of
product.
Application procedure
Mix the product before use, after first applying a coat
of Metrofix sealant. Apply the first coat of OLD TIME
with a brush. Apply subsequent coats leaving 12-24 h
between coats.
Drying or setting at ≈ 23°C
5-6 h
Coverage (with two coats)
3 m2/litre
Recommended amount used per m2: 330 ml
Coverage per pack (14 litres): 42 m2 approx.
The coverage varies according to the roughness of the
substrate.
Coating with paint
Compatibility with other products: with all water-based
products.

Storage
Minimum and maximum temperature: +5°C +30°C.
The stability of the product is guaranteed for one year
if it is stored in its original packaging in a dry,
sheltered place. Do not store the product at less than
5°C.

If the containers contain residues of liquid material
they can be classified as code 080112.
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
