APPLICATION

Ambient temperature: min. +5°C, max. +40°C
Relative ambient humidity: max. 80%
Substrate preparation
Masonry substrates:
The substrates should be thoroughly prepared by
brushing manually. Poorly adhering coats of old paint
should be removed. Make sure that fresh plaster has set
before applying. Apply one coat of Metro Fix followed by
one coat of Metro Cover to provide a smooth background.
If the background is still not smooth, apply one coat of
white Metro Coat. When the surface is dry, apply one
coat of Money or Metro Coat to match the finish (an
alternative to be considered in relation to the quality and
cost of the finished effect)
Plasterboard substrates:
The substrates should be thoroughly prepared by
brushing or cleaning, making sure that there are no loose
areas. Apply one coat of Metro Fix followed by a coat of
Metro Cover to provide a smooth background. If the
background is still not smooth, apply one coat of white
Metro Coat. When the surface is dry, apply one coat of
Money or Metro Coat to match the finish (an alternative
to be considered in relation to the quality and cost of the
finished effect)
Pre-painted or varnished timber substrates:
Partially or entirely scrape to remove any loose paint or
varnish remaining or remove the paint entirely using
chemical or solvent paint stripper
New or old timber substrates already treated as above:
Spot grout to fill any gaps and micro-cracks using Metro
Stuc.
Lightly sand to make the surface to be treated smooth
and even.
Apply one coat of Metro Fix and sand lightly. Next, check
the soundness of the substrate: if there is any dusting or
if there are loose areas, another coat of Metro Fix should
be applied. Apply one coat of Metro Cover to provide a
smooth background. If the background is still not
smooth, apply one coat of white Metro Coat. When the
surface is dry, apply one coat of Money or Metro Coat to
match the finish (an alternative to be considered in
relation to the quality and cost of the finished effect)
Equipment
Type: brush (Klimt Brush), stainless steel trowel (Stainless
steel Pollock trowel), pad (Picasso paint pad or Mondrian
paint pad), glove (Mirò Decorating Glove) or short hair wool
roller (Magritte Roller) depending on the desired aesthetic
effects to be achieved
Dilution
As supplied, when using a trowel. 10 -15% with water for
other applications
Application procedure (see colour chart)
After preparation of the substrate and when the surface
is dry, apply one coat of Money or Metro Coat to match
the finish (an alternative worth considering, in relation to
the quality and cost of the finished effect).
A test sample is always recommended prior to each
application
Mito with Money undercoat
After preparing the substrate, apply one coat of Money to
match the finish (diluted 5% -10%), using a Magritte
short hair roller.
